You know, they say that if she had actually just plowed into the 'berg headon, she would have survived. But the officer on duty was not experienced enough to know that, and reacted emotionally, ordering the ship hard-a-port. By turning the ship to Port, he exposed the plates and the rivets of the ship's hull to a fatal brush with the iceberg. This is now the accepted view of how she was fatally wounded. No 300ft gash as was thought at the formal inquiry, but 3-4 small tears no bigger than the size of a kitchen refrigerator, on her hull that poured approx. 25,000 tons of water a minute into Titanic. And because the watertight bulkheads did not extend all the way up to the top decks, as each watertight compartment filled up and overflowed into the next, Titanic died. Had she hit straight on, the result would have been a crumpled bow that could have been repaired in New York. Oh well...... BTW, very good, Ken. Well done.

Your sky is simply fantastic but on april 14th, there was not a single cloud; the sky was a perfect field of stars. A small detail about the Titanic : the fourth funnel was a fake and never smoked.Nevertheless,I find your image magnificient.
