Description

According to the legend, Icarus and his nephew (uncle??), in their quest to "fly like the birds" build themselves a flying device and took off to the skies. As they soared ever higher and higher, they came to close to the sun, Icarus' "machine" caught fire and they both fell back to earth. Off course the ancient greeks never heard of helicopters, delta-wings ... but what the hell, this IS the 21st century and it does make the pic more interesting. By the way, this very detailed helicopter can currently be downloaded at viewpoint.com as a free sample !!!! Hope you like this.

I like this new take on an old story. Thanks for the model tip, but I was unable to access their free model page - some programming or router glitch I think. Darn!

Story's a bit garbled, but neat pic. It's an interesting take on the story of Daedalus' (Dad's) and Icarus' (son's) escape from Crete. If you're in the mood for requests, try some more mythic updates. Lots of source material for pics there. And how did you do the searchlight?
