Later on this tour we passed this picture-book landscape! Your eyes never get enough to soak in all the beauty of nature.
In this view you look straight onto the legendary and most popular mountain of the Alps the "Watzmann", 2th highest mountain of Germany with 2713 m. Its top was always hidden behind clouds :o( It seemed to be a cover for the meetings of old ghosts playing on the top...

The landscape is splendid and beautiful. What is worth noticing is the partial lighting in the middle of the landscape...... probably due to the partial filteration of the sun by the clouds. I really found it very interesting in my Himalayan tour wehn the clouds would cover the sun in such a way that you could find a spot light on some area as the other part remain clouded. Being on top of the mountain it's a great advantage since you get to see more of the land terrains below. I have had the opportunity to see......some land terrains getting rain and others dry as a dry wood. Also, I was once stationed in a place from where if I looked below, I could see clouds raining on the valley below. I almost felt like god then.... watching the rains from over the clouds.:O))

Excellent contrast between the green hills and the grey and white mountaintops. Eyecatching shot. I'm just back from vacation in Tirol and have seen that the high mountains mostly attract clouds like a magnet ;-)
