Waiting
I do believe that
for the first time
in my long life
the anticipation
of being with
the one I love
is going to teach
me patience only
because it is
humanly impossible
to reach you now
so I have no choice
and it infuriates me
because I feel like
a racer at the gate
anxious and taut
like a violin string
waiting for your touch.
