Description

Hi guys! This is a Remington model 700 long range tactical rifle used by law inforcement and the military but also used in long range target competitions at a 1000 yards and beter. The goal in this one was to achieve a high range of realism. Crits are always welcome. Thanks!

Looks really great Tugmaster, the main things that look the best for me within the picture are, rifle scope, sight scope, Bullets, ear muffs, tripods, table. The only thing l'm not sure of is the barrel metal in that it seems a little bit to smooth i.e chrome like, but then l have never seen one these rifles so my judgement is based on the sterotype silver barrel look. Keep it up !!!

Nicely done ! I have a friend who is an Army Ranger sniper and I believe this is one of the weapons he uses.

Thanks for the comments guys.Osbjef, I used a lightdome with 45 lights and a slightly smaller dome inside that with a hdr image for reflections only and then one omni light for shadows.

Certainly you got a high range of realism here.

Excellently done, but I would like to know why there are _two_shadows. The soft one beneath the ear protectors (that goes to the right) and the sharper one behind the rifle (that goes to the left)? I guess you didn't use shadows on the dome lights, right?

If there is such thing as realism in CG art, then this must be it. Well done!

Good, but there's something wrong in this image that I can't put a finger on. Must be the lighting/shadows I think, just seems to be off
