Description
Just a WIP... but I wanted to go ahead a post this, mainly to plug the Japanese Village models available at the following site:
http://edogoyomi.page.ne.jp/3dedo/tsuyama/index.html
Excellent modelling and texturing on this project, and he's a real "Honey" for sharing these models available.
In this image, I was just experimenting with different settings in Carrara 3... particularly the sky settings and how they interact with the GI renderer... many things to work on, such as the moire pattern on the roof on the left.

Great work so far ! I've been struggling with a similar scene recently and found that increasing the resolution of texture maps or using a smoothing filter can reduce or eliminate those patterns. I'll be very interested to see your finished work.
