Description

It was one of those local icons that have existed for what seems like forever. It never changed in spite of technology and time. In fact, it was the last place you could go and be certain of finding the obscure plumbing part, the outdated fasteners, those incredibly hard to find cast iron cooking utensils that no one even knew existed. It was a space of its own. It was the Old General Store. ================================================= Store by SAMS3D Pump by SAMS3D Hitching Rail by RDNA Background by DAZ Postwork by myself using PSP8 ================================================= The incredible generosity of the folks at SAMS3D is legendary, as are their works of art because, really, you can't call these props!

Used to walk up there for ice cream. I'd love to see the old guys sitting on the porch. Fiddle jam just after dark on Wednesdays if the creek don't rise. thanks!

Incredible! It looks like the old pictures my great-grandmother used to show me as a child before giving me home-made cookies! Thank you for conjuring that happy memory with your artwork!

Cool image! Looks like a modernized, cleaned up version of a store I saw in Western Maryland, not far from the C&O Canal Towpath. hugs Wylder

Looks fantastic Tony... I used to walk about a mile and a half with my brother... just to get some penny candy and maybe a moonpie... Just a suggestion, try another render with the camera moved to one side, showing the side of the building too... instead of straight on. Love the image... Kent

There's an old, early 1900's gas station/general store about three miles from our farm that is one of those wonderful native rock structures based on the classic gas station format. I'm going to try to get some clear digital photos of it and see if I can find someone to build it as a complement to Sams3D's Beautiful General Store, if there's any interest.
