Description

This huge 32" X 40" acrylic painting was done on mat board. I tried to show the magnificent drama of a lightening storm in the mountains. A recent trip to my old stomping grounds in the White Mountains of New Mexico and Arizona reminded me of how powerful and beautiful those lightening storms are.

Awesome work on the lightning. It's often hard to get it to look just right by paint. Love the trees in the foregound too and how the light interacts with them. Well done...

I can feel the electricity. I love lightning storms and couldn't stay out of them as a kid~ until the day I almost got zapped by a bolt that hit a fence I was just about to put my hands on.
