I don't really get your art, nor why people give it such a high ranking. Hmmm. Try playing with textures / bumps / lighting / modelling other than pointy stuff perhaps.

Wonderful work, dont know what naomi is on about as I have found better effects without textures on alot of metals.

Naa... Much to chunky and too many cutouts in the blade. It also looks too much rendered for my taste. Too artificial.

Well, the runes dont look carved, etched, or engraverd. They just look like they are cut out of a 3D mesh with a boolean function, which is of course the case, but it is a fast that can be concealed with not too much effort. The edges of all the objects forming the sword like giant toothpick are much too sharp and could be improved a lot too. The grip does not seem to be very ergonomic. Must be a hell of a nightmare to hold that thing. Blisters and synovitis preprogrammed. The overall design looks interesting, but I think with a slight bit of technical improvement it could look much better. Shiny metal effects are not all that counts and they dont make up for weaknesses in other aspects of the work. Keep it up!

Hi there anyway: the handguard doesn't fit, too thin, and unstable. It WILL break at the first paree you doo. And as VOID said: you have some cool shiny effects, but that's not enough for a 'real' good picture. A Sword isn't clean, cleaner, most clean. The Blade as is can't really work, It's maybe a cool poser-sword, but nothing for fighting. Swords aren't fencing weapons, you are slashing, and hacking, so you NEED some basical weight, and a stable blade, otherwise you are fucked up ;)

Very interesting concept, you have a great imagination and skill for design.
