Description

I was looking for some butterflies to take photos of,when I saw one that was just hanging around. When I looked closer I saw what was really going on, so I got in close for this shot. Thats a Gulf Fritillary(Agraulis vanillae) that was in the wrong place at the wrong time. It got caught by a Green Lynx Spider(Peucetia viridans), these are spiders that dont use webs to catch their prey,just are hunters. Well as sad as it looks for the butterfly,its part of nature for the spider to eat. Hope you enjoy this one.

It's a deadly hug! Kill'em, all them green hunting spiders :) Very nice capture btw.
