Yes, Jeroen is right :) If you look closely you can also see some people in the distance, behind all the crosses. As I wrote above, it's a military section of the cemetary, hence the title.

A very evocative image dear, the postwork does add the intenseness that the camera cant manage to do by itself!!

Certainly, it's totally different from what you did before. I wonder if the 'crosses area' really had some pattern similar to birches or you just messed it all up to make it look like this. One way or another - I'm impressed.

"As You Were" ....in the same state as before you were born....ceasing to exist. Excellent work here....it's different but it's effective.

@Charmille - the leaves on the ground made the pattern... My 'messin up' was mostly restrained to using the 'wind' filter... :D

@Matt: the title has two meanings, the military one ('at ease') and the one you gave. That's why I've chosen it :) I was kinda waiting for someone to mention it :)

The 'as you were' makes me think of dust to dust ashes to ashes... as you were dust back to dust you'll go.. the wood of trees blend with the other wood of the crosses likewise. Or that's how I see it!
