Description
..On Nerbja, the 5th moon around the planet of Tanurs,
a prosporous colony has arisen. The main city here, Sioubeom, is among other
things known for its "hovering lamps", which can be moved, through remote
controlling, to places where they are needed, and to an altitude of 3 meters.
Besides lighting up the streets, they also serve as warming shelters during the
18 months winter period (earth time) - a"year" lasts 42 months. The colony,
populated mostly by humans of earthly origin, has specialized in harvesting the
mushroom-like growths, that live all over the moon, in different species and
varieties. They produce substances that are mainly used in medicine, the most
famous being the "age-blocker", which in many cases can prolong youth by 50
years, even up to 125 years in some sensitive individuals. The organism can't be
cultivated (or at least it hasn't been worked out how so far) because of
intricate biological mechanisms - reminicent again of some funghi found on earth.
In the cities on this moon, most labour is done by the famous "skinny robots"
which can be encountered anywhere...

- Well, the starting point for this scene was the discovery of the magnificent "Dystopia" cityblocks by Moebious87. It was one of the first free items I downloaded from Renderosity 2 years ago, when they were still freestuff in the Poser section, and I've almost forgotten all about them, when I accidently found them in my Poser folders. Of course, I felt a little discouraged, when I saw that the celebrated arist here "czarnyrobert" had used these city blocks as well, in a compostion somewhat similar to mine (but only "somewhat"). I've been working on and off on this complex scene for a couple of weeks - finally version 1 is ready, after many problems with rendering.
- The title is from an old popsong, it kept on turning up in my head until I discovered why - actually, clouds across the moon :)

Great Sci-fi scene !! The atmo and colours are wonderful !!! the spaceship in the sky on the left seems to be the runabout from sparkyworld.co.uk and the others seem to be the raiders cylons of the "Battlestars Galactica" series.

I really like the colors and composition. I'm getting a Star Wars / Sky Captain vibe from it. And, I don't know if you're familiar with the old TRAVELER RPG, but your text and image would really fit right in as a planet listing for that game. By the way, I really love the way the little pools of white light form a pattern in the lower left of the image -- it helps balance against the other elements.

The vibrant colors work so well to create a unique feeling like that from the Warren Beatty Dick Tracy film if anyone remmebers it. The light domes are excellent! Great image and a Vote!

Excellent lighting and atmosphere, the lighting especially is perfect. Nice little details too, the people running toward the ship. I agree with "mmitchel houston", it really does seem right out of "Traveler". Excellent Work!
