Description

Just an old time bridge here in my hometown, we call it Berry Bridge because in the spring there are thousands of blackberry vines that grow along beside it...there is talk of tearing it down and replacing it with a more modern bridge...Myself I like this one not many of these are left standing Again thanks for all the IM's about my mom she is still in hospital All views and comments are appreciated:)

Such a great shot, the antiquity of the bridge and the beautiful yellows...send us a picture of the stream flowing below...there just has to be one with crystal clear water and rocks galore. Glad your Mom is doing so much better. cya

A beautifully composed picture ... hopefully it won't be the only remnant of the bridge - not all change [imho] is progress. And it has wild brambles too! .... Bramble Jelly is my all-time favourite jam [jelly]. v

What gorgeous flowers. It is a shame to tear down such bridges, as they are part of history. We have some old covered bridges here that people will not let the planners tear down. Wish scenic beauty could stay around forever. No need for that kind of "progress" anyway. ;o) Best wishes to your mom, and many prayers too.

Spectacular shot! I love it. I hope they don't tear this down. I had the name of my street changed to Blackberry Lane, since the previous name was my former husbands last name. (Tee hee)

Since this bridge is closeby to where you reside, may I suggest on returning several times to it over the years and photographing different aspects of it. As you said, not many of these bridges are left and it would be good to record dfferent views of it along with a few of the blackberry shrubs growing along side it. I think it would make an interesting series especailly if accompanied with some writings of yours. One other suggestion, the yellow mustard flowers are perfect in front, except for the single blome that is also the tallest. It needed to be cut so as not to obstruct the full view of the bridge. HAve a great Sunday.
