Looks pretty good. Don't forget that as a storm gets more intense, sails would be reduced to a bare minimum to reduce the strain. Usually down to one sail per mast and the jibs and spanker fore and aft, just for steerageway. Sails were reduced for fear that if the storm got too rough and too many sails were set, the ship could have her masts ripped out and thrown overboard (sailor's jargon, "tearing the sticks outta her..."). But this scene could be just before the captain orders, "reduce all plain sail, rig for bad weather..." Looks good so far.
