Description
this one is for the Candles theme on Imagine3d.org. The lily is from plantstudio 2. I used a gradient bitmap to control the brightness of the top of the candle to give it a little 'glow' from the flame.

Very nice ! The objects are fine. The wood texture is not so good The light setup seems strange to me, too hard. Try to cast also some "warm" light from the candles, this would give a little touch of romantism. :o)

I agree with Manuel about very nice indeed...soft shadows, tho expensive and delaying my candle pic, are well worth the extra time as these themes can be posted whenever as they are merely hoped to be an inspiration for those of us too bored to think up new projects...LOL...also, mtntop.itx is also a very cool way to get that semitransparent glow at the candle top using both filter and colour switches. The doilly is also very nice, but the wood needs some work, but is secondary to the candles in this instance, looks like an RJJPlanks.itx and that tkes some fiddling but will give real nice wood when tweaked enough. Keep em coming mate. bobby

I took a stock lighting set-up that I have and threw the scene into it. I'm currently rerendering the scene with just a ring of ambient lights and the light coming from the candles themselves. The wood is RJJplanks. I didn't do much tweaking other than adjusting the scale. I do these during my lunch hour at work, so I'm limited to the amount of time I can spend on any given theme. Ross

I commented on this at the org, but to keep it simple here - I love it. Very inviting!
