That's hard to say...I like this. The middle one was my favorite in the other upload and in this one the two lighter ones are buried and I only see a hint of them if I look really hard. The middle one is so massive compared to the other two that it's pretty much taken over, perhaps if you rotate the layers or play with the blend modes they might show up more. I love the lighting and the transluscence that comes with the higher density when rendering. Nice work...;o)

Well, it's hard to say, but this is massive, powerful, and just plain beautiful...so, I guess I'm voting for this one! grin Very interesting to see your process, though. Thanks for sharing. Really exquisite work, Michael.

I think both of them are unique in themselves. I enjoy the lighting on this one. Cool details and for some reason I'm attracted to that itty bitty center detail. Well done! (:

Very lovely fractal composition; most impressive internal reflections and refractions (very gem-like, great lighting); very nice form and the small external reflection at the base adds to the depth of the image. Excellent!

this is a jewel but I find it hard to make a comparison...this one really looses the fine detailing of #3 in the diagram...this piece is definitely more complex...I would like to see both kinds!...once again thanks for sharing your process Michael!...on to the next

I can't make up my mind. They are all so very lovely. While this one is more dramatic and detailed... i'm still kind of partial to the 3rd one of the previous render. They're all great!
