Description

Charon, in Greek mythology, is the ferryman of the dead. The souls of the deceased are brought to him by Hermes, and Charon ferries them across the river Acheron. He only accepts the dead which are buried or burned with the proper rites, and if they pay him an obolus (coin) for their passage. This is where Acheron starts .... For this one I used the 2049 x 2049 Labyrinthus Noctis terrain, available for download at http://www.space-graphics.com/marster_ln.htm . I made two different renders, which I combined in PSP to get the different water levels, as I did in my 'The Santana Clearwater Facility LTD' image (amongst others) before. Hope you like this one ! Cool terrain and strata. The rays really help make it. The grass extends into the water though. You might want to limit it to water level or add a sand layer.

Amazing!! I like the shore, and how you got the rock aging layers on all of the visible rock.
