Oooops! Forgot to put my comments before I posted. It seems like everybody does a Sci-fi city sooner or later, so I guess I'm about due. Tech notes- rendered regular AA with gamma disabled. Clouds done with Cumulus plug-in, Buildings and vehicles modeled in Wings3D and Bryce5. Textures from Nacimus3d,Stephen Ray, Fastraxx, Rochr, and numerous others I designed myself. Minor post in PS using U.I.C.(and for my name) Thank you for looking.

Good futuristic texturing and designs, though I think it might need a bit of polution, but then, in the future maybe they have giant air cleaners. Good work.

Lol, I could do an alternate version with pollution, but I envisioned a future where they no longer use internal combustion engines. Maybe they use cold-fusion or zero-point power sources.

Thank you for your comments! I forgot to credit Adamite for his awesome metal materials! If you haven't D/L'd them from freestuff I recommend them.

It looks way too optimistic (:-), the future should suck, just like the future does now.

A most interesting image danamo. If I may offer one small suggestion, I think you should alter the lighting direction a bit though so as to bring in more shadows. It would bring up the visual drama of the whole scene.

Thanks everyone, and thanks for your suggestion Incarnadine! I am always open for suggestions, lol, and since you and Rudy both made the same observation I have to agree a little lighting change and some shadows could improve this quite a lot. Thanks again. Dan

Aside from the lighting suggestion offered above, my bit of advice would be to try and create a tiny canyon effect between the buildings and hint at more visual depth to your city. A bit of pollution or fogginess in the distance will really help create this illusion of expanse. Would love to see more of this city... by skycab would be good. :o)

After consuming a huge amount of Sci-Fi, especially in the '60s and '70s, I've just got one thing to say: "Where the @$#% is my flying car?!!" Terrific image!
