A perception of reality
That seems to be all my own
Am I right?
Or insane to believe as I do
Mediocrity surrounds me
Driving the masses
Tired of letting them all
Lead my actions and deeds
Closest to my heart
Thought to be sane
Driven by that exact mentality
Discovered only now
Required to pursue
A philosophy of perfection
While all that encompasses me
Fails by comparison
Stay with beliefs?
Stand by what is right
Or fall prey
To the mass perception of reality.

I think one has to learn to at least tolerate the mediocrity and failings of other people - but never ever in oneself. A nicely written thoughtful piece. v
