Description
Meet the latest additon to our family! Her name is Pookie. Her previous owners couldn't keep her because she didn't get along with their other cats, and she was quite distraught. She has been with us for abut a week now, and is settling in nicely. And she does get along fairly well with our other cat.
Pookie is 2-3 years old (previous owners weren't exactly sure). I *think* she is a Bombay, but if anyone can can tell me for sure, I'd really appreciate it. She's small and compact (i.e. heavy for her size), and even though it's hard to tell from the photo, she has very Oriental-looking eyes. Oh, and every bit of her is black, including her paw pads. Even her claws are darker than my other cat's.
She's kind of camera shy, so this is the best picture I've managed to get so far.
Thanks for any comments! (this time I actually remembered to check the box ;-P)

She looks so peaceful. Really nice of you to take her in! If you could post one of her with her eyes open, might help to identify the breed. I've heard but don't know for sure though, that occassionally a black kitten will show up in a litter of Siamese. Maybe someone else knows.

Thanks guys. I'll try to get a better picture, and convince her to open her eyes! I think she has cat asthma, as she wheezes when she breathes (previous owners said she's always done that) and her eyes run a little. Probably why she closes them a lot. Of course she was sleeping in this picture, though. :-)

I had a cat long ago, when I was a kid, that was part Siamese, and he was all black too. A Siamese mix will usually be all, or mostly black. Siamese kitties have unusually long tails, and are very active. Hope that helps ...that is all I know about Siamese. I am happy Pookie is adjusting so well. She is a beautiful kitty cat.

I'm going to have to upload a picture of my cat. She looks -exactly- like this. So cute!!

Forgot to reply and say that Pookie doesn't have a long Siamese kind of tail. Her tail is kind of smallish and cute. It's much shorter and smaller than my other cat's. She's adjusting very well to our house, btw. :-)
