Description

* My mighty friend, here we are: the sky's yours, for me to ride it. Your noble back will be my seat, your flaming breathe will be my weapon. We're the warriors that will keep safe the world below, so let's be brave: no fears of falling, and open eyes, we'll have our battles we'll have our troubles... In you I put my trust in full, I know you ain't gonna let nobody hurt nor me, nor anyone of those down there who watch above with confidence. Those people good, our frajile friends, feel in their core we're fightin there to keep protectin their days of love, lettin them free to live their lives with hopes of peace and towns with flowers, while up for us there are wild ridings... * -------------- Painted in Photoshop 7, starting with a blank scratch, with mouse only. 7 hours of work aprox.. Dedicated to Elfenone :) Hope I did nicely enough to please your challengin task :) Kiss :) ----------------------- This is sort of new for me: new is the subject, that I never properly tried before (I love fantasy, but it's not really my realm), new is the style, kind cartoonish, and hopefully although I reckon is so basic effort I am hoping my trial will please you. As I wrote this was a request from Elfenone, to try to take part at the Dragon stuff contest (don't know really if I will enter... as I said this is very , too very basic piece for any contest). My time is always very limited so I had to complete this quicker than I was hoping for. Basically, I spent yesterday to make it and today I just put some final touch while I was relaxing in the countryside. It's hard to do something neat with no tablet! Mouse isn't really the best way to create this (or maybe it's just that I am crap ;)) but I came up with something at least. It was a really nice way to experiment new horizon journey :) Thank you sweet lady, for pushing me at this :) Hugs to everyone, Meli :)

Awesome! I don't think this is 'simply basic' in the least. In fact, I think you've done one incredible job and definitely should enter the contest. I love the attention to detail and colour in this piece. Fantastic artwork!

interesting to say the least. It looks somewhat like a collage because of the various textures. Then there are manga influences as well.

A very storybook Illustrated effect. Maybe if I get some time, a dragon might . .scratch that, That's a long way from blank canvas!! You are definitely NOT crap dear. All your gestures like this are always loved by all and received with open arms. 7 hours is a long commitment for your precious time spent. A fine work.

You could be an absolutely amazing cartoonist if that were your goal Meli... you have more than enough drawing talent to make it work. You also have a great deal of imagination to back up the talent... the perfect combination! Great work on this my dear.

The style and technique are great! You are right: a mouse is not the easiest way to go. I did a wizard with my mouse and it was hard to work. Check it out here at "Rosity on my last gallery page. It was one of my first posts here. I like how this looks though. This would make a great image for a Grimms fairy tale.
