Description

Here's something a little different. A copy of a poster from the 30's promoting the 1933 World Fair. This would have been a lot easy in an illustration program rather than Bryce, but hey, call me mad. Everything apart from the text (and the lower blue box) was modelled in one Bryce file. I modelled the train just for this, but might refine it and use it again. The light beams are actually lights. I tried with cones, but couldn't get it to look right. This looks pretty simple, but it actually took more time to put together than my normal Bryce pictures. A lot of that was the train, but getting the flat lighting was more of a challenge than I expected. Thanks for looking.

But, isn't that part of the fun- taking a program and expanding the envelope? I thought for sure from the tumbnail it was illustrator- this is a cool and innovative image. Nice retro look too.

Great results! It does look like it was done in Illustrator,or some other vector drawing app.

Yes, you are mad. (Not a bad thing though, the illustration looks great!) This would be a lot more natural and easy to do in a 2D vector program.

You did really good on this. Youre right, it would have probably been easier in Ill. But It's sweet looking and pulling it off in bryce is impressive. I have tried some 2d looks in bryce, none came close to this. Again, grand work here.

If the train were real or realistically rendered it would have made this complete. Still needs work, but a good retro vision.
