bluliner35 The indiana dunes come so close to being beautiful. I've worked at every one of those mills, except US Steel. You are looking at what was the most polluted area in the United States. Toxic to the point of ridiculous. Used to be, you ask? Well, Lake and Cook counties were the most polluted areas in all of America until George W Bush became Governor of Texas. In less than one year, the tri city area in Texas took the title from Lake and Cook counties, a title which stood for close to forty years. There is no smell like the sulfurous smell of many incredibly large steel mills all going at it at the same time. The mill rats will tell you that's the smell of money.
