Description

Well, when I saw the amazing work by asunta and pjero using the Sibenik Cathedral, modelled by Marko Dabrovic http://hdri.cgtechniques.com/~sibenik2/ I had to give it a try. I have a terrible time with light beams and it still holds true. I was able to get one small one that doesn't look like a light coloured tube stuck in the render, but no luck with the rest. So, I just did my own thing after 2 days of frustration over light beams ;} Candle holders, floor and window textures from ADP's Gothic kit. There will be another, I think. This model reminds me so much of the movies Ladyhawke. One of my favs. Had to reduce this down to upload.

Incredible how the same model can look totally different only by changing textures and lighting. Excellent mood. :)) Ladyhawk is one of my favorite movies too. :))

Volumetric lights are proving to be tough for me to learn, too. Plus, this is a really tough model to light. Excellent, excellent render. Now i have to scrap mine and start over.
