Description

just in case you were asking why that title... that's the story: I got up very early that morning, couldn't sleep well. I was so nervous! So I decided to take a walk at this beautiful black-sand beach. Of course I brought my camera (just in case...) :) Well, I was there alone with the sea, the sky in all its glory, the silence interrupted just from the occasional seagull. I was really enjoing the moment (and shooting at the sunset) when... This guy appeared like a ghost behind me, making no sound at all. He passes right at my side wispering a "goodmorning" and goes straight between me, MY rock, MY sea and MY sun... Right in the middle of my shooting range! He prepares his fishing-rod very slowly, turning around and looking at me from time to time... maybe realizing he is bothering me. What the hell... Of course I'm "bothered"! I was just still, with my camera in my hand, looking at him and thinking that I could have killed the guy: after all nobody was around... :) It was just the two of us. PS: I did not kill him, :) instead I decided he could become a nice subject in my photo... so here it is the ghost fisherman.

This could have very well been done in Terragen with post work; or, Vue; or a number of other media...but, one thing for sure is: this is a magnificent piece of artwork!!!

Way to make it work for you. I know the feeling...how we can feel that a place is ours alone to enjoy, but then that oneness is invaded. A excellent shot resulted from such an occurance as we all can see here. :)
