Woo Hoo! I like this. I've always been keen on trains. Background blur gives great sense of speed. Two comments: Trains are usually quite dirty - perhaps some slightly 'grubbier' textures? Lighting - shadows of the handrail suggest this is lit from below - I don't know how natural that is.

A very nice job and a pleasant break from space ships. I would have to agree with WZRD about making it a bit grubbier, but other than that a very fine model.

Hi Steve - nice to see the old image once more. Even after all these years it is still fresh. Tell them the lighting from below is from the reflection from the snow ;-D. How about just layering on some procedurals for the grime.

Great modeling. The lighting is right, but grain should've been added to the train render to match the grain of the background. That would've "married" the two together more naturally.
