Description

This started out as a simple portrait and all was set until it came to the lighting lol so experimented and it turned into a lighting exercise. I find it interesting how different an image can look just by changing the lights all 4 images are identical except for the lights thanks for looking Chris :o)

I know what you mean about the lighting! I spend an enormous amount of time on that (last thing I do) ... sometimes more time that it took me to actually create the image. LOL! I think the lighting can either make or break an image. I think the bottom left definitely looks the best! :D

I like the first one best, gives her a real soft natural look. Interesting how much lighting can make a difference, excellent example.

Oh yea, lighting is where it is at!! Gives us depth of view and can change the whole mood, plus change overall or specific colors. Ahhh the wonders of light.

The KOL liked the bottom right the best. However, I like the top right. Why,because the lights in that one gives such a different shadow play across her face. It's more real looking in my estimate.

Yes, the lights (and shadows) make the image. Getting the lights the way I want usually takes over half of the time I work on an image (including rendering!) An awesome demonstration of the effect of lighting. Like primal says, they're all great, for different situations. Excellent work!
