Thanks for viewing ! Comments are welcome... A very common species the European Garden Spider, Araneus diadematus. Also known as the Cross Spider or Cross Orbweaver. Its was climbing down towards its web across the thread connected to its hiding place. Hope you like :o) - Oh btw how do you like my new borderstyle ? The great spider invasion has started. Caught one in the kitchen sink this morning. Not as pretty as this one though. Great shot!

its spider time here on RR...Danob post also a garden spider..I am not a spider lover...but they are wonderful for look at from a distance...and sometimes if I want to see more I look through the viewfinder.....wonderful close up Jeroen so as always...you are very talented and it is a real joy for look at your work....

Yep, it's the season for them, many occasion to shoot them, I had shoot one but after seeing your shot, it will come later, lol! BTW I have now a reason to hate a kind of spider, microscopic ones call "Thrombicula automnalis" I wish you to never, never being touched by them, the result, a few days of hospital : thrombidiosis (because allergy) and a thousend scars up my leggs from feets to hips... A great macro my friend ! V
