Description

Playing around with dof and blur, which I haven't used much. I kind of like it, but it doesn't give the sense of movement I was looking for. Any tips on this would be more than welcome! ********** DAZ, Thorneworks, Danae, RDNA, etc ********** Poser 4 Vue 4 Pro Thanks for peeking and for any hints!

I really love it!! Maybe some motion blur on the horse will help with the movement effect You wish... but it's FANTASTIC!! Excellent

Nice job, Christie! Maybe either the background with motion blur and front clear or vice versa! :^)

Great job on the DOF. I agree with Sylvia on the motion blur on the horse. To mee it still looks a little bit too static. Nice image though, well done, Christie! Any news from the fisherman yet? ;)

Cool dof effect! But anyway, I'll wait with new blur experiments for Vue 5 with the new HDRI features. ;-)

Hairy thing this. Is she on her way to get some salmon? I hope so. Well, i think the suggestion about some motion blur on the horse and the girl is correct. This would make it speed up. The other option is to do much more blur for for- and background. The sort of a quick moving camera that catches the quick moving object sharply, the static "rest" therefore is blurred. But great one nevertheless. A loud hello to Mr. Fisherman - so that some salmons can survive!

Very well done Christie! Both background and foregrond are blurred with the midground in sharp focus, that can work I guess as you have demonstrated here. I am impressed with the posing of the Lady on the horse, top notch!!!

I agree on the comment about adding a little motion blur to it to give it that urgency your looking for, except I would suggest the foreground and background for the motion blur rather than the figure, otherwise I think you might lose the focus of the image. Well Done work though, I really like it even without the motion blur, the depth of field is perfect!

No idea how to do motion blur because I would do it in Photoshop. But it makes sense to select the horse and rider and add the motion blur option to those. But then again, when you pan a camera to something moving, it's the background that blurs in the photo. So, I really don't know. Excellent image at any rate!

My guess (and it really is just a guess) would be to blur the surroundings if you want them to be galloping, or to just slightly blur the horse and rider if you want them going at a more moderate speed. That said, I think it's a beautiful image! Looks like you really got the Mil Horse to behave. :-)

It looks good enough to me !! If anything I would add a little more blur to background (maybe in Photoshop ??)
