Description

This is a big caterpillar from the Privet hawkmoth. It was a very big individual, some 9 cm. and almost as thick as my thumb! When disturbed he performs a sphinx-like pose as seen on the photo. PapaGuru.

probably eats leaves like a lawnmower, but very beautiful green color and you done an excellent capture. we have those here also but I have not seen this year
