Actually, you made the same mistake KelvinHughes, as well as others do.... The Hankster, who created this model, created 2-3 separate sets of flags and sails per mast and yard, so that the ship could be seen in different weather conditions. You, as has Kelvinhughes and others rendered most or all the sets of sails at once. That is incorrect. If you look close enough, you can see that on some of the yards there is a set of furled and unfurled sails. You need to take off all but one set to be more correct. Also, do a little research and you can find out what sails would have been set for whatever weather conditions. Here is a place to checkout artists who paint their seascapes and ships doing extensive researching to show ships accurately: www.scrimshawgallery.com/Online Gallery/Paintings and Prints. Checkout the artists listed there, especially the art of Geoff Hunt, RSMA (Royal Society of Marine Artists) who paints the Victory with amazing detail. He has just had a book of his ship art published called, "The Marine Art of Geoff Hunt". This site, artist and book will give you a great set of resources. Good luck...
