Description

Start of a mini tour of Sankei-en Gardens in Yokohama circa 1969-1970. Photography involved a Petri 35mm range finder on the very cheap side. BW processing done in a hobby shop by (modesty forbids). Wishing now that I'd kept the negatives. Images were scanned recently. Mostly right from the album page, because attempts to remove them were not going well -- for the images. This is the pagoda overlooking the gardens. Image actually contains some detail of the beamwork which did not come thru in the reduction for Renderosity. (Guess that old Petri had more going for it that I thought.) Grab some green tea, sit back, and relive those thrilling days of yesteryear when the exchange rate was 360Y to the $1 and Japanese cars were only in . . . Japan. (My oh my. I was rich and didn't know it!)
