Description

Robin fighting my Ninja character(Check out my gallery for pics of him). 3ds max and Brazil for rendering. Image softened in photoshop. To all who use poser and post in another galley, its a nice program, but i found that since i stopped using poser, i appreciate my work so much more. I know it's all me, no help from daz. Try building and rigging your own characters. It's the only way to really learn the software and trust me, you'll thank me later.. To all who have ditched poser for one reason or the other, care to make a comment? Anyway. keep rendering

Never used Poser but I know what you are saying, it is very rewarding to see your own work come to life. I've enjoyed your characters for some time now. Keep up the good work.

I know exactly what you mean I started off with admorphium then to poser and bryce then to lightwave and now I'm using 3d max and thats very true I find that when you put all the work in you also have a drive to get better results out to justify the effort but enought about that great image do you have any animations up I could look at for inspiration

same here guys, the same reason why i don't use poser. it's not that i never tried it but it's just not the same when u spend ages on modeling a human body and on the other hand (in poser) u got the model ready. it defenitly feels goooood spending time on modeling something out of a simple shape and creating a fantastic model! keep up the brilliant work people!! ...and Pitbull.... Excelent modeling, Excelent texturing, Excelent work ! real talent!

What are good, affordable programs that will yield good results in modelling and animating? While what you say is probobly true, alotta people use Poser because they're new to 3D and are cautious to invest alot of money in software they don't know how to use. Excellent work BTW !

After reading your post, i would like to say that the comments were aimed at people who use the 3ds max gallery and others, but post pictures or art of Daz 3d models. The idea was to try and model and animate your own models as this is a much more gratifying project. Thanks for the comment and to answer your question, in terms of good entry level software, that is the wrong way to look at it as all software packages have their strengths and weaknesses. You may become great at bryce for instance and when you move to a more production ready piece of software, you will be lost. Trust me, been there done that. I'm no master at 3ds max, but i know enough to get me by. This came after long nights trying to undo what poser did to my brain in terms of logic and a working knowledge of tools used in all software poackages.which is better? that depends on what you want to accomplish but all have a pretty high learning curve. It just takes time and patience. Hope this helps
