Description

A collaboration with Nigel Harris aka Naichan in a style similar to that of the old Surrealist "exquisite corpse" method! I'd begun an abstract in Painter back in April but abandoned it; it occurred to me on Saturday night to email it to him to see if anything could be made of it, as I knew I'd never bother to return to it myself. He sent it back today with an overlaid pencil sketch. Finally I worked over the whole thing in Painter before colourizing (and adding text) in Photoshop. Click here to see the progression :-) We're currently working on the musical equivalent, remixing each other's sonic material back and forth... the CD artwork should be a complete collaboration as well, so I think this pic should be considered for inclusion! On a musical note, the final stage of this image was made tonight to a musical accompaniment of Nigel's own Atomic Kewpie album and Taj Mahal Travellers Live in Stockholm 1971... much strangeness has been afoot... Thanks for looking and your feedback is much appreciated :-)

Thanks so much Jim for taking the trouble to enhance this. Absolutely brilliant job! My contribution was merely a quick and dirty sketch, then snapped hastily with a digital camera. What you've done with it brings it to life. Yes, you're right, I think we must consider including this with our joint music project. ;-)
