Description

Just a quick pic to let you know that we survived the storm okay. I really appreciate all the IM's and emails from folk. As you can imagine, after such a storm, there is a lot to do and my office is still not all put back together. We did not have anything but cosmetic damage and a busted window we got at the shelter and no one got hurt, including the cat. A longer tale of the adventure can be found here. My sympathies go out to all that still do not have power or have lost their homes or people due to storms both in the US and the Caribbean. Also a special shoutout to our friends in the path of Ivan. My thoughts are with you. About the pic: These were 4 locations in Fort Pierce that got damaged. The first picture is the tree that blocked our back door and storm shed for a few days. The second was the GoodWill that had to dump their entire stock into dumpsters after what looks like a tornado got them. The third is a local dance studio and the fourth is a pretty amazing show of the wind's capabilities. It pulled the tree right out the ground. All taken a day or so after the hurricane. I have disabled comments as this is just to let my friends and visitors know that I am still alive and will be getting back to commenting and posting soon.
