Description
First of all I would like to apologize for being absent for so long. Life snagged me by the back of my collar and dragged me away! After finally being relieved of my duty as house/dog sitter on Monday evening, I had to get my own house in order. Tuesday was vet day for my two boy kitties to be 'snipped'! And I adopted a new orange tabby kitten, only 6 weeks old and slated for unknown future along with many other unwanted kitties! Wednesday was spent with daughter and grandson and then today was spent with Ivan the hurricane! Finally at midnight I am free! LOL
This close up of the door is a 'filler' pic while I continue to relate events around this cemetery. After the wind, temperature change and 'whispers' of Otherworldly insinuations, I decided to record what I could then return with my group of investigators to see what we could 'dig up'! Yes, pun intended--it's been a long week so far!
I ended up researching the town itself at the historical society. I have to choose my words carefully so as not to have legal entanglements come down on my head. The name involved from the cemetery is directly related to one of the founding families of the area and this family is still involved in politics. So suffice to say I was a bit surprised to find out that this family came to New Salem to settle with others from one of three towns undergoing persecution of witchcraft (other than the infamous Salem, MA). Most of the information regarding this town, which began as a clearing in the dense woods of the Swift River Valley area, was no longer available due to the fire that destroyed most. This part of the research was a piece of cake compared to what followed when the group decided to 'open' up to several entities.

Yep, life did that to me as well and I still have collar burns. LOL I'm so glad you're okay though, and you still have me riveted with the experience you're relating concerning the cemetary. Just looking at this door, I can feel the hair on the back of my neck rising. I'm loving every minute of this. Awesome!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. How do you get control of your own life? I'm about four days behind on e-mails. Fantastic story. You really make every word count and know how to hook your audience.

I love ghost tales and been on a few hunts too and saw several things, sometimes I can feel and sense things and its eerie feeling does that make me psychic or just an empath???
