Description

Entering the chapel through the open, heavily carved wooden doors (that seem original...therefore dating back into the 1600`s), one is informed that non-flash photography is allowed.... I sit for a bit of a while. as streams of people file in and sit or stand in various areas of the chapel. Some light candles, others murmur quietly.... Some have come in search of a miracle cure or healing, others sit and seem content to just .....be. Sooner or later, all walk to the front, near the altar ...after a brief meditaion or prayer, they all turn to their left and vanish...I am left sitting ..for a bit of a while.... with a gentle looking older woman who rocks gently in her seat.....

You are listing to the left. Correct that, sharpen a tad and I think you will get a better image. THen, there is a gentle softness to this which may be just what you want -- less the list to port.

@bluliner35...it was a small step down from each piece of the walkway, then another few once through the gate and courtyard. Still another after the threshold...Subtle change in grade that placed one a few feet below ground level by the time one was inside of the chapel. That and the adobe contributed to a most comfortably cool feeling inside.....and yes, there was a simple but true and clear...air.... about the place. I sat for a good long while just being.

Agree with weesel about the angle; nice exposure, assume that's where the grain is from and looks fine to me. These places are indeed a refuge, very well done.
