Description
Dr.Who- I've been a fan of this particular verison of the doctor ever since I first discovered the show. Had some problems though. I had hoped to do this one like I did Vampirella- entirely in Poser. However, the "Panavision"-type size made it too big for my system to render and I had to resort to other measures. As I did for "The Ultimate Nightmare", I resorted to several tricks. The Background, mountains, and ground were one render, the Tardis, the front fern and tree were a render. the Daleks were a render. The Doctor and K-9 were seperate renders. With the exception of the background, all were done with the 'classic' blue-screen for a background color. Then I took it all into Photoshop Elements and combined them for the final verison and added the laser shots and pyro-effects there.
The major problem with this approach, is that it doesn't allow for the same kind of subtle shading and blending that I got with Vampirella. It works good with space shots, but it's not perfered when dealing with characters.

Ah, Tom Baker, where is he when we really need him? And, how come if K9 could self-recharge, he was always running down at the worst possible moment? Nice concept- does he know that other Dalek is waiting in front? ZZZZaaaaaapppppp....

Thanks for the flashback!

Very nice....Tom Baker was always my favorite of the Doctors, too. With the hidden Dalek, hope he makes it to the door without a problem. :)

Am I mistaken, or did you use "Imrie's TARDIS" optimized for Poser? It's been downloaded several hundred times, but this image and your latest seem to be the first that have actually displayed the blue bugger. If I am confused, well, never mind. BTW, classic "Whovian" scenario! Sincerely, Bill

For Redfern- Yes, it was "Imrie's Tardis" I had downloaded one other, But it didn't have the textures this one did.

Very well done there.
