Description
I was in the restaurant when a terrible explosion knock down the wall. I ran out and my camera felt down. I got it when it was just shooting to the air....

I like the drama, the setup and the B&W - exceptional image. But Berlin 1948? WWII ended in 1945.

The only bombers that flew over Berlin in '48 were the so-called "Rosinenbomber" - raisin bombers of the Brits and Americans that sustained West-Berlin during the year-long Soviet blockade. Prior, during WWII, Germany had an early warning system that would inform people via radio and sirens about incoming bomber swarms so that they would have enough time to run to cellars and air shelters. That's why "only" some 600,000 civillians were killed with most of her cities obliterated from the air.
