Well, I hope wonder woman is supposed to oppose hitler in that image, but she is standing next to those posters giving the viewer the fist as if saying "get the hell out of here or else..". Lets just remember that USA did nothing about the war even tough England tryed to get them to get mad at Germany, the reason they joined was because the Japaneese attacked Pearl Harbour. The woman should have been british and not american in the pic. Just IMHO.

Will since wonder woman was not american, but an amazon who was introduced to defeat the nazis in germany that is why she is standing in front of the posters. Wonder woman was not of one nationality, but was a symbol for justice. Thanks for your comments, and i hope other viewers will get what the image stand for.

I like the art. However Tibbe is somewhat delusional. Apparently he forgets Neville Chamberlain tried to ignore Germany just as much as the US. http://library.byu.edu/~rdh/eurodocs/uk/peace.html

Nice job. I'll refrain from making any politcal statements based on nationality of comic book characters, because to do so would only make me look like a pretentious ass ;) Again, nice work -- I really like your lighting and, of course, that WW figure is fantastic lol

Right namja. And lets not forget the focus of WWII for the US was Germany from the moment they joined. They used Pearl Harbor against the isolationists in the US to join the war in Europe.

Um - lets get something straight here - US was helping just not in the sense of sending troops over. That is why there was a party called "US First" which was trying to argue that the US should stop supply arms and other such stuff England. Correct that US didn't get invovled totally until Pearl Harbour was attacked, but they were still invovled. About the picture - really like it :) And I never liked the Wonder Woman comics :)

Well! This is a well put together pic aside from the political ramifications lol. I like the lighting and the pose gives her a sense of presence. You have certainly stirred up some comment - good on ya.

nice render but if you are trying to associate American Patriotism with racism, facism and genocide you have failed

do any of you people get it. I am trying to show that by being prepared and ready to fight against evil is what wonderwoman and the red white and blue stand for. It is not to associate ourselves with hitler or any other evil regime. If you have seen any of the old world war II american posters, you would see images such as this. Stating that only through our strength can we defeat the evil empire of Germany or any other country, which wishes to hold terror over it's people.

First off, I'd like to start by saying: this is a very good piece. Gylph and Quangon have done a great job. I would like to comment on those who find this image facist and racist, or unpatriotic. First, I wonder if MannyDib knows what genocide means. And who it is derived from this picture I do not know. Second, Glyph is 100% correct; the American imagery of the era constantly depicted American Heroic Icons standing in a defiant pose in front of brass German propaganda posters. Third point, as those of us with a brain have noticed; Wonder Woman is standing in a fighting pose in a spotlight. The views of MannyDib and Tibbe can be seen if we did not already know Wonder Woman's stance in WWII. So, I wonder if it is Glyph, who obviously has some understanding of both real history and comic history, is the person trying to put an ominous view over this American Icon or those who see it as such. Hmmmm.....

namja1955 like the art. However Tibbe is somewhat delusional. Apparently he forgets Neville Chamberlain tried to ignore Germany just as much as the US. http://library.byu.edu/~rdh/eurodocs/uk/peace.html To blame Neville Chamberlain and say he ignored Adlof Hitler and the then Nazi Germany was indeed a poor statement and sad to say a popular one. He meet with Hitler in 1938 and he said then Hitler was a nasty peice of work! Despite the reputation of Winston Church Hill, it was Neville Chamberlain who began to re-arm Britain as best as possible with a wave of anti war feeling in England and USA a side effect of the first world war. Neville Chamberlain Gave the rubber stamp for the Spitfire program, the aircraft that saved Britain at the time in the summer of 1939-40. Neville Chamberlain also had to nurse maid Englands economy because of the great depression, Unlike Hitler Mr Chamberlain was opening halth programs and trying to make new housing programs and more public spending such as higher education. Also most forget in 1926 England signed along with many other countries in the league of nations to dis-arm. The army like many was for show, Remember Everyone thought after WW1 most thought it was the war to end all wars. Neville Chamberlain as in the last defense of a man who can not longer defend himself had to buy England as much time as possible and should have been seen in a much kinder light than what a few people who did not get off their backside to do a good review of histroy! Asides from this issue great picture and remember guys its all in the name of fun!
