Description
In looking at pjero and kenwas's excellent historical renders of late the thought occurred to me that outside my little world of work and 3D-time there is history(unfortunately in this case)being created everyday outside of this little realm in which I reside. So, this is just my little attempt at creating a tribute to our men and women who are fighting to keep us safe and sound. My prayers go out to each and everyone of them and their families that they will all be home safely as soon as possible.
Usual credits to DAZ for the uni's AND BigHugZ to TamelaJ for her fabulous Harry texture and character used on this soldier in the center!

excellent portrayal, and even nicer sentiment

Poignant statement- well excecuted. Odd that our troops are fighting in a desert region, almost without vegetation- and yet your pic is very "green"- not unlike the invironment of another similar war, some 30-odd years ago. Purposeful, or perhaps you were just using an available 3D terrain that suited you? Just an observation- it's on my mind alot these days.

Pose and comp work very well, the foreground figure I'd suggest should be in sharper focus, as he's so dominant. And if you're not doing viet nam, then don't forget the lady grunts! Well done, and I think we all want our young people safe and home.

A wonderful tribute, Steve; shows determination, pain, and loss at the same time...hate the war, but not the warriors. Thank you very much for this.

I really like the subtleness in this. Choosing the 'people' gallery instead of 'military' is a wonderful, very subtle statement. The mood here is awesome, the reference to Vietnam is fantastic. I do hope and pray the troops will be home before the body count starts resembling Vietnam too...

Nice comp. It will never be enough until those terrorist bastards are destroyed. Let's give our troops all the support they need to finish the job, and then come home.
