Description

Wings are flames designed some time ago in Apophysis 2.0 beta20, and rendered now with a brand new hqi-flame 1.14, sphere raytraced in POV-Ray, the sky reflecting in this ball brushed in Photoshop, and the background in Photoshop, too. Hope you enjoy this :) and thanks for all your comments on my last work :) I really appreciate it. T4V&C

WOW! I feel like I'm looking at an old album cover from the 1970s (Steve Miller, anyone?)! And I mean that as a complement. I love the background choice (very simple and earth tone) and the pearl sphere. Great! I would suggest that you slightly increase the visibility of the phoenix in the pearl and consider not mirroring the clouds (add one large cloudscape in the reflection that stretches the entire vista of the sphere's reflection), but other than that, I really like the simplicity of this composition.

This sphere reflection... yeah, I have had problems with mapping, that's why I've mirrored this sky. I was just too impatient to make it the other way ;) But will think about it next time :)
