Description
From the Sci-Fi series Star Gate SG1. I created each symbol in Illustrator using a picture from their website. By creating the gates symbols as extruded objects it gives the shading more realism. I mostly created this for two reasons, first I like the show and 2nd I wanted to create the water like surface since I didnt know how. Software used to create the image; 3D MAX, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

chuckle..;) heck, I've done 3 myself, and I'm not alone..;) have to admit mine's not as detailed as this..don't know what's worse, having to create the icons from scratch, or having to fill in the font (stargate.ttf..it's out there) of each one..lotta work went into this one..only thing I see is it might be a bit thick (easy fix) ..there's a site called (I think) Stargate fan, which I used for reference pics..but I'm sure you can do way more than I can with Wings..go for it..;)
