Description
A few times in my life I have been blessed enough to find myself in an out-of-the-way place where the only sounds were the gentle breeze and the light melody of distant birds. This scene reminds me of one of those quiet places where all time seemed to just drift into a peaceful slumber and my soul could find a few moments of genuine rest.
In the chaos of my busy days now, this image makes it's appointed round on my desktop and, if only for a few stolen moments, I can stop and feel God's peace. Not that it ever leaves me, it doesen't. It's just that I often get too busy to stop a feel it and rest in His assurance. It is in the moments of life like this that we understand His words: "Be still and know that I am God."
