Well ive been sort of workin on this all summer but not because ive been doing other things too. I decided to do a castle as One ive not really done any architecture before and.... Two I had the idea of putting the castle in water in the middle of nowhere (to which I noticed many people have done already!!) All comments and criticisms appreciated

another thing that gave me pretty good results in crating lakes, is to model some pretty varied detail on a plane for the lake bottom, deep spots canals, things of that nature, give it a good medium tone rocky texture or watever kind of lake texture you thnk would belong there, but something with alot of differenece to the color of it. then place your water plane above it, my suggestions for water material is anistrophic, black diffuse/ and raytrace in the refraction slot. wet the refract amount to about 89 to start and work your way down. also in your extended paremeters set the index of refraction to 1.333 Make sure you leave your opacity alone, the refraction takes care of all that
