BIOHi everyone!
I'm a 19 year old guy from Sweden, right now I'm just being unemployed, I'm taking one year off before I continue studying. Since I don't have an occupation at the moment, I spend an awful lot of time playing computer games and working with 3D. Since my dream is to work with 3D-graphics in the future, I thought I could aswell pay some serious attention already.
I started working with bryce when it was first released, but I didn't start playing around seriously until 1998 or something. I first started to use Lightwave in April, or something like that, that's when I found renderocity. It's really a great place for inspiration and development. cheers!

Nice work. I've found some nice metal presets out on the WWW, There are some really excellent lightwave people on renderosity, they could tell you better than I how you might tweak the blade. I'd suggest a reflection map, maybe play with the color a bit and make it lighter or more neutral, and probably a procedural in there to show the metal/temper grain. I'd love to see a single strong element of color in this scene, a red ribbon or flower maybe.

Very cool work. Try boosting luminocity, for that extra shiny effect.

Comming along nicely, keep up great work bud. As for realistic reflections try looking into the following: refelction maps on various tutorial sites, your LW manual and maybe look into HDRI probes.

Nice modeling work. Once the surfacing and lighting are fine-tuned, this'll be a Kurosawa set. :)
