Description
Taken on a trip to Q'eros, Peru in April 2003.
This was taken during a ceremony of blessings that our Quechua friends performed for us.
The people of Q'eros are Quechua, the original inhabitants of Peru, they are pretty much the last of the Incas.
They are renowned throughout Peru as great weavers and shamans.
The shawls the women wear are called llicllas, they weave the llicllas themselves from alpaca, lamb's wool, acrylic and sometimes vicuna on handmade looms.
Any comments/questions/suggestions are welcome.
Thanks for the comments on my previous posting "reflections".
This was shot with a Canon Rebel, and the negative was scanned in when it was developed.
Thanks for looking.
