Description

Backlit scenes present certain challenges (at least for me :-), the main one being the prevention of everything in the foreground becoming merely silhouettes, but at the same time, not creating false shadows as a result of just adding light in the foreground. Anyway, it was fun to do and I learned a lot. Vue 4 Pro, Greek ship from Taschen, sky by dikaios

Ken, No real problems, except one small detail missed: where is the ship's stern wake? In a flat sea like this, the ship, propelled through the water by her sails AND oars would have a very noticable wake and evenly spaced disturbances where the oars would have travelled through the water. Not a large wake, but there nonetheless. Other than that, looks great...

WOW!! This one's one of your best. excellent lighting of water and ship, just enough to see all the details and still very realistic. Nice framing, by the way. Great job!
