Description

I was thinking of whimsical ways to tell children about 'why' things are. I've always loved folklore and mythological stories that explain things like why we have seasons, etc. I remember one of my favorite school projects as a child was writing our own myth. I'm not sure where I'm going with this or whether there will be more, but this is my illustration for the question "what makes the flowers bloom?" She is truly very beautiful in every sense. And those delicate wings enhance the mystery! U should try reading the recent "Artemis Foul" series by Eoin Golfer -- who takes the folklore of fairies, elves, goblins etc and humans and weaves this fantasy into a sci-fi reality.
