Description
Autumn has decended upon New Hampshire. Cold nights and sparkling bright and warm days.
I took this picture while on the way to work this morning. Normally this is just a swamp, but with the fall, the swamp maples burn in the morning sun.
What made this especiallly neat for me was that this spot borders on a woodland pond and I could hear a loon's mournful cry off in the distance from beyond the trees.

Thanks! I pass by this spot every morning. I may take more shots of this area as the leaves on the trees on the hill develop some color. Really beautiful spot.

What??? New Hampshire looks like this now??? Man, it's turned its colors fast!!!! I have a good friend in NH...she did not tell me Autumn had descended so quickly!!! thanks for this incredible scene!

Thanks for the comments folks! Not all of the state looks like this right now- I'm in the southern part, so its only the valleys/low-lying areas that are turning colors- due to the cold settling in those areas overnight. As the days pass though, the forests will blaze! I love this time of year. I'm going to watch this spot and possibly take another couple of shots to watch the colors progress. -Grey
